Best for: Users who want to orientate themselves — see the full journey, jump to any step, understand context. More familiar to anyone used to government or NHS websites.
Trade-off: More complex visually on first load. Requires the user to be comfortable scanning a busier layout.

Everything in Remix 2, plus a bottom grid of 9 icon buttons — one per step — acting as a secondary visual navigation layer. The icons from the uploaded PNGs are already placed (though mapping isn't final). The RHS accordion uses "Show steps / Hide steps" toggles rather than expand-in-place.
Best for: Users who respond to visual cues — the icons give each step a recognisable identity and make the guide feel more approachable and less text-heavy. Also useful for returning users who want to jump directly.
Trade-off: Most content on screen at once. Icon-to-step mapping needs a final decision before this version is production-ready. Also note: step 09 appears twice in the RHS list — a bug to flag to Lovable.
